Whats wrong with me, why do I keep getting sick?

I'm caught Bronchitis a year ago after that, my Doctor said I have GERD now. But I seem to be catching alot of colds. When my GERD acts up I catch a COLD afterwards. I took a Spirometry test it came back normal, and I also took The methacholine (MCH) challenge test and came back sayin that I didn't have any bronchial hyperresponsiveness. Sometimes when I take a deep breath I feel it all in my sinus and throat, and when drink water in the morning I can feel the water going down my throat and going into my stomach. Is that GERD? My Doctor told me that my lungs sound good. Why I'm I catching Colds is it because of the medicine (protonix) i take for GERD. I found on the internet that Protonix has other Side Effects like: Flu syndrome,Sore throat,and Respiratory tract infection. http://gerd.emedtv.com/protonix/protonix-side-effects.html Is that why I'm catching colds?
