I have a hard lump in my tummy?

it is slightly lower down and to the right of my belly on, the lump is approx 2cm, it is not painfull, and it is fixed in place i.e it doesnt move around, i have been to my g.p who has referred me for a scan, but im quiet worried, any ideas, or has any-one had the same thing ??
