Fellow movie snobs: Did the character development in Meat leave you a little flat, as well?

I mean, the dynamic between Rudy and Tripper was ok, and the relationship between Spaz and Larry had a certain Kurosawa flavor, but they could have explored the personalities of Wheels and Marty and Roxanne a whole lot more, in my opinion. Your thoughts?
