Do LGBT People have the right to choose?

There are alot of gay people that disagree with "reparative therapy" (which is therapy that is suppose to change a gay person to a heteroua). My professor to get us thinking about the issue compared repartive therapy to abortion. Many people disagree with abortion. Many think abortion think is unethical and wrong, like myself yet there are those who claim that women should have the right to an abortion over these objections. Likewise, those who wish to change their ual orientations, should they have a right to seek conversion therapy because it's their life and they have a right to privacy?
