Can anyone explain the AFL draft system to me? ?

I understand that in reverse order on the ladder the team gets the first pic that came last int he season but what i dont understand is how many picks each team gets, how the picks are traded, who is eligible for the draft, how it works with overseas and interstate players what is the Father-Son rule?
